After the forest and mountains, we decided to go the coast for sun, swim and surf. Itacare was decribed as a vibrant surftown. We wanted to learn how to surf and vibrant, why not! We arrived a friday night and after the quest for a hostel was successful, we went for our first stroll down the main road. After two weeks with almost no tourists, it felt a bit strange at first. There are open bars with young people from all over the world! We were used to one shop in the village with an old man who sells beer and watches football… Here, no football match to be seen in the entire road, so we decided to try out one of the many Caipirinhas that are sold along the road. Caipirinha with Lemon, Maracuja, Ananas, Mango and even with Cacao Beans! After a while we start to know many different types of Caipirinha, my watch indicates 4h00 in the morning and we sit on the beach with some Brasilians that showed us how to dance Forro (a popular brasilian dance).
The next day starts late. We want to find another hostel, something which is not just a youth hostel with a dormitory. Walking without finding anything, we finally arrived on a beautiful beach from were we can see a balcony of a beautiful and probably very expensive room. We ask anyway, just out of curiosity. The guy who is taking care of the place is a Rastaman who watches Reggae-Youtube-Clips all day long and who doesn’t care about money, he says. There was nobody in the entire hotel and he can propose us the same price as the dormitory for the best suite of the hotel!

The sea is 50m from our room, we can wake up with the sun, take the surf boards we rent for the week and be the firsts getting waves in the sea.

But it would probably be more correct to say that the wave take us! Yes, surfing is quite hard at the beginning and a lot of fights with waves are needed before the first stand up on the board. But when your are on it, man, it feels so good!
One week pass like that, learning surf, discovering beautiful beaches, reading in hamac and we were friday again. Friday is THE day for partying here and it always starts with a Capoeira session in the Jungle bar. We see Capoeira many time before but the one of the friday is one of the most impressive we see. Very fast and precises movements and arials acrobatics. We never miss one of this friday starting meeting. Here just a few seconds of the last one we see, sorry for bad quality, this is made with my phone :
